Privacy

In short: TempoClic asks for no account, sets no cookies and does not send your songs anywhere.

Your songs and settings

Your songs, their settings and the volume are saved only in your browser (local storage, “localStorage”). They are never sent to a server. You can erase them by deleting this site’s data in your browser settings. The export file stays on your device, wherever you save it.

To let the metronome open without a connection, the browser also keeps a copy of the website’s pages and files (a “service worker” cache). This copy only contains the website itself, no personal data, and is deleted with the website’s data.

Hosting

The website is hosted by Netlify (see the legal notice). Like any host, Netlify receives the IP address and technical browser information on each visit, to serve the pages and protect the service. See Netlify’s privacy policy.

Fonts

Fonts are served by the website itself: no request is made to Google Fonts or any other service.

Analytics

To know how many people use the website and what they find useful, TempoClic uses Umami, a cookie-free analytics tool. It counts page views and a few actions in the metronome (starting, creating a song, export or import, changing language, installing the app), along with the referring page, country, device type and browser. It stores nothing on your device and cannot identify you or follow you from one website to another: your IP address is not kept. The names and settings of your songs are never sent. You can block it with an ad or tracker blocker; the metronome works the same.

Advertising

The website currently shows no advertising. This page will be updated before any is added.
